Perfect French Fry Recipe

Vegan + gluten free burger, and a vegan + gluten free burger that’s low carb. If you’re reducing your starchy carb intake, you can always remove both buns of a part of the bun and replace it with extra lettuce. It’s just as tasty and you’ll skip out on the carbs.

Who doesn’t love a vegan burger with fries? These homemade fries are ready in in less than 30 minutes.

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons ghee or good quality avocado oil

1 pound Yukon gold potatoes

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

Preheat your over to 450 degrees F and coat a baking sheet with oil to protect against the potatoes sticking to the sheet.

Clean your potatoes, leave the peels on, and slice them into 1/4-inch-wide sticks.

Place the potatoes in a large bowl and soak them in hot water for 10 minutes.

Drain and dry the potatoes with paper towels, get them as dry as possible.

Toss the dried potaotoes with the rest of the oil and all of your spices until they are fully coated.

Place them on the baking sheet in a single layer evenly spread out, you don’t want them to stack on top of each other.

Bake at 450 degrees F for 15 to 20 minutes. Use a spatula to flip the fries, and move them around so they are evenly baked. Put them back in the oven and continue baking for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until they’re as crispy as you like.

Garnish with salt or fresh herbs!
